OP Vets Rugby Season Review 2005/6
Under the guiding hand of Frank Casali (84) and playing as "Ealing Evergreens" we entered the Surrey RFU Veterans 1st division last season for the first time. After a slow start we registered impressive wins against well-established sides such as London Irish, London Scottish and Richmond. With 2 matches to go a strong finish would see us surpass our hopes for this first season.
Unfortunately we came up against a well-drilled and experienced "Richmond Heavies" side in March and played below par, losing what was to be the title decider.
So runners-up on our first outing, we were very pleased with ourselves and ended the season in fine style with an end of season dinner at Molly Malone’s. Highlight of the awards was "Players’ Player" which went to Jamie Carlin. A big hand to Brendan O’Flaherty for organising the night (and leading from the front). But special mention to our Capitano Frank Casali for all his hard work in organising the squad in such an efficient manner through the season.

OP Rugby - an incomplete history
Any budding archivists out there? We remember the halcyon days of '80s old boy rugby. Names like Lavery, Oliviera, Priechenfried, Campbell, Kelly, the Codringtons, the Jewers, the Pickersgills et al flood the memory.
It would be good to hear from anyone with any relevant information. The Priorian magazine articles perhaps...? Get in touch with the OP office.
